The singer linden was planted in 1972 at the trailhead in Niehausweg.

The "Männergesangverein (MGV) Eintracht 1822 Oberdiebach" donated the lime tree for its 150th club anniversary and has been caring for the tree and the small square ever since. Traditionally, on May 1, the annual "measurement of the singer's lime tree" and the spring singing take place there. At the event, the diameter of the trunk is measured and the choirs of the MGV present their repertoire. The men's singing club in Oberdiebach is one of the oldest singing clubs in Rhineland-Palatinate. Its active choirs include the "Männerchor", which sings in a choir community with the singers of the MGV Bacharach, the mixed choir "S(w)inging People" and the children's and youth choir "S(w)inging Kids". Rehearsals take place in the clubhouse "Gasthaus am Kräuterberg" in Rheingoldstraße 125.
