During the 18th century,
Friedrich Wilhelm Utsch, also known
as the "Jäger aus Kurpfalz"
(the Hunter of the Electorate Paltinate)
lived in the medieval half-timbered building,
His faithful servant wrote the verses of
the well-known folk song "Der Jäger
aus Kurpfalz" in his memory.
